Help shape what ARI becomes.

ARI is being made to help families, and the best way to get that right is to make it with them. I have walked this road with my own daughter and I know it well. To make ARI work for families beyond my own, I need the other versions of it: a different tribunal, a different school, a different idea of what makes a good day out. If you have been through it, this is the way in.

If you can help, let us know

Why ask

No two families walk the same road.

I'm Harry, and I have been doing this for years with my own daughter. I know the paperwork, the waiting and the fight for what she is entitled to. I also know that mine is one road out of thousands, and an app built to fit a single household will only ever fit that household.

So before features get decided, I'd like to hear from parents further along, from people who work in SEND every day, and from anyone who has already worked something out the hard way. You are the people this is being built for, and the people who know what it needs.

There are lots of ways to help.

Lived experience

Tell us how it actually went

An assessment, an EHCP, an appeal, a school move. What helped, what wasted your time, what nobody warned you about.

Moderating

Hold a group steady, later

When the community opens, each group will need a parent to keep it kind and honest. Training comes with it. Nothing to do yet.

Professional knowledge

Keep us accurate

SENCos, speech and language therapists, OTs, caseworkers, advocates. Plain-English guidance has to be right before it is reassuring.

Testing

Try it before it's finished

Early builds, on your own phone, in the middle of an ordinary week. Tell us where it falls down.

Local knowledge

Map what works near you

The café with the quiet corner, the pool with the lights down, the changing places toilet that is actually open.

Something else

Tell us anyway

Design, accessibility, fundraising, or a thing we haven't thought of. The box at the end of the form is genuinely read.

Before you offer, the honest bit.

This is voluntary

Nothing here is owed and nothing is expected of you. You would be giving time to families you will probably never meet, and it makes ARI better than I could make it on my own. Thank you, genuinely.

It is small amounts of time

A reply to an email. Twenty minutes on a call if you fancy it. Nobody is signing up to a second job, and saying no to any given ask costs you nothing.

You can stop whenever

No notice, no explanation. Tell us to take you off the list and we will, that day. Life with a SEND child does not run to a schedule and we know it.

We won't ask about your child

Not their name, not their diagnosis, not their records. Share what you choose to in your own words, and nothing more. See the privacy policy.

Get in touch

If you can help, we would like to hear from you.

We keep two lists, and they do different jobs. The waitlist keeps you posted as ARI is built. This one is for people who want a hand in building it, whether that is as a parent, as a professional, or as somewhere on the high street. Fill this in and I'll write back to you myself.

If neither list is quite right and you just want to ask something, email hello@theariapp.co.uk instead.

How you'd like to help (tick any)

Please leave out anything that could identify your child: their name, age, diagnosis or school. It is you and how you would like to help that we are asking about, and anything that does reach us we delete rather than keep. See the privacy policy.

We'll use what you send only to talk to you about helping with ARI. Not added to the waitlist mailing unless you join that separately. Read the privacy policy.

Sent this before? Fill it in again. Your answers replace the previous ones, and anything you wrote stays unless you write something new.

Thank you, that means a lot.

One more step: we've sent you a link to confirm your email. Click it and this reaches me. I read these myself and I'll write back. It might not be this week, but it will be me, and it will be a proper reply.

If you do not confirm, what you sent is deleted within three days.

See what we're working on

Two ways in, and they are different.

Plenty of people will want one and not the other. You can do both, and you can do neither and simply read along.
